With Blues Brews and BBQS race day on tomorrow its time to review the Grafton trainers recent successes away from home.
John Shelton continues to have a massive year especially when he decides to travel outside of the NRRA area. In that was the case when he headed up the mountain with Cassia Lane to Armidale last week.
Ridden by Luke Rolls Cassia Lane settled in a close fourth before Rolls worked into the clear on the point of the home turn and quickly put the issue beyond doubt to have established a winning break by the 200m.
It was the second win for Cassia Lane this preparation with both wins coming at the Armidale track.
It also the third winner for for team Shelton for the season at Armidale so it may well be we see team Shelton heading back up the mountain on a more regular basis.
