With husband Scott Henley soon to return to the training ranks in Grafton Fleur Blanch is trying to leave no stone unturned in the quest to open up a big lead in the household premiership.
Lismore yesterday was the host for winner number one for season 20/21 when Surf Sonic led for most of the way to win the Class 1 1410m.
Ridden by Belinda Hodder who produced almost the perfect Lismore ride Surf Sonic was slow to move by Hodder being fully aware of the benefit of leading at Lismore quickly drove through near the inside to make sure the gelding had control of the event before the field reached the course proper.
Once in front Hodder controlled the tempo to a nicety before again going for broke on the home turn and it was race over with Surf Sonic racing right away to win with ease.
it was the second win for Surf Sonic since joining the Blanch yard from the stable of owner David Fromberg earlier in the year.
