Fleur Blanch spent her early years working for the elite of the Australian Racing Industry where it was nothing to send horses to multiple meetings in multiple states because you had multiple staff at your beck and call.
I am guessing the operation is not quite so easy when you have a stable of three currently racing and they are spread across two states, with zero staff. Then throw into the mix a need to help out husband Scott with his runner at yet another race meeting and all sounds way to hard.
Well this is how its done, dispatch Scott to Randwick with Nanakorobi Yaoki for the Highway handicap, problem one sorted.
Then hot foot it to Doomben with Scott’s runner Boyles in the Class three and then break the world speed record to be back at Aquis Park at the Gold Coast to saddle up two runners in the final event of the afternoon.
For the record both Nanakorobi Yaoki and Boyles both ran great races without being placed so it all hinged on the last at the coast.
Dark Euro ridden to perfection by Anthony Allen stalked the leaders throughout the 1300m BM 68 before diving between runners at the 150m mark to race away and win with some authority.
Sugar Zone the other stable representative finished down the track after a wide run.
I am sure as Fleur was unloading her runners back at Cuban Song Lodge well into the night there was a smile on her face and a feeling of job well done, but also the thought I might have do this all again in a couple of weeks to find the right races.
The other good news Fleur has got away with a big lead in the very competitive house premiership.
