As the Covid 19 rules continue to change and we are able to welcome back more and more people to the races with less and less restrictions its time to catch up on the recent Grafton results.
This article we will focus on John Shelton who has had a great month with the top quality mare Tara Jasmine.
After winning first up in August and a failure in a Highway at Randwick Tara Jasmine has returned home to make it three on the bounce.
After winning at Grafton in late September the mare continued to frank the form winning both the Jacaranda Prelude 1100m in late October and the Jacaranda Cup 1100m in early November.
Following her defeat at Randwick Shelton was keen to apply the blinker and it seems to have really done the trick with Tara Jasmine never racing in better form.
Her win in the Jacaranda Cup was all the more impressive has she had to cope with a massive weight increase of 4.5kg when meeting almost the same field. Tara Jasmine made light work of the increase to win with a lot of style.
Tara Jasmine has now made six wins from six appearances on the Grafton track with Ben Looker being on board for all of her four wins in her current preparation.
The trick for the Tara Jasmine will be if she can make the jump to metropolitan standard racing as increasing weights will see her hard to place in the bush.
