With the CRJC Horse Of The Year awards night fast approaching it seems the appropriate time to give an update and review on the performance of Grafton stables since the start of the season.
First cab off the rank will be Shane Everson as his stable was the most recent to find its way to the winners circle.
Team Everson had a winning day at Coffs Harbour yesterday when Supreme Hero treated his opposition with contempt winning the 800m Maiden by over three lengths.
Ridden by Luke Rolls Supreme Hero raced up on the pace and then dashed right away when popped the big question by Rolls after the 200m.
To add to the celebrations it was the first winner to be strapped by Jess Newton since joining the Everson yard earlier this year.
It was the second winner for Everson this season after Sir Havachat had led throughout to win the 1000m Maiden at the Casino cup meeting in mid August.
On a sadder note both the winners are raced by the estate of the late Pat Bramich who passed away in July.
