With Grafton racing again to day and local trainer John Shelton represented with a six pronged attack it seems appropriate we tell you about another successful stealth mission by camp Shelton across the border late last week.
On Thursday Shelton with just one horse in tow headed north to Ipswich with the lightly raced Enterprise Lassie to contest a 3yo Maiden over 1600m.
With former local Tegan Harrison the rider of choice Enterprise Lassie settled just behind the leader but was shuffled back by the 700m. Soon after Harrison moved away from the rail to make the turn three deep and the filly looked to be in plenty of trouble.
However once balanced in the straight. Enterprise Lassie balanced up nicely and came with a barnstorming finish to overhaul the leaders in the shadows of the post and win with some authority.
On the strength of that win Enterprise Lassie might just turn into a stayer of the future.
